¡Feliz Año Nuevo!

the last time I tried to update this stupid thing the wesite hated me and decided not to save what i just wrote...! GAH! anyway...

Christmas in Buenos Aires was GREAT! we never made meatballs but we ate lussebullar, knäck, risgrynsgröt, pepparkakor, kladdkaka and drank glögg with everyone at the hostell and then we partied all night long untill 10.30 christmasday morning. On christmasday we went to a christmas lunch with all the enhlishmen who stayed in milhouse. I ate salmon and turkey with all its stuffing, yummie!! we were going to take it easy at night but when nina and I started to drink champagne for lunch nothing could stop us really... we never went out though, we just stayed at the hostel and partied there. Buenos aires was great, I really have to go back some day!

I was only in Santiago 3 nights before Johanna and I went to Valparaiso to celebrate new year.
Palo and I made kanelbullar one day, mmmm they were the BEST and her family loved them, they were gone before I left her house next morning!

Friday was Johannas last night in Santiago so we made a really good dinner, drank wine and mango sour and smoked some waterpipe. It was very nice! We went to a party with Palo for a little bit and then we ended up by the river which runs through Santiago, and let me tell you, its not a clean one... but palo wanted to be with her little boy shes falling in love with so we joined them for a little bit, didnt understand much of their chilean slang youth language or whatever you want to call it hehe =)
when we came back to johanna we ate some melon and drank the rest of the wine. and then round 5 in the morning she wanted to cut my hair, so thats wat she did? at least we thought it looked good then! no but realy, it turned out good!

Valparaiso was very very diffrent compared to tha last ime we came there. This time there was 2 million crazy chileans partying on the street when we arrived and there we concerts everyhere, party party party! When we finally found our hostell we booked 2 months ago, there was something wrong with our booking, of course! so we didnt ave anywhere to stay. but the guys who owned the hostel, 2 american guys, where realy nice and tried to work something out for us. finally they decided we could stay in their rom, on a madress on the floor. but they would only let us stay there if we took a private double room for 2 over new year, when the prices are 3 times as much as usual.  but we knew it was either that or sleep on the street so we ended up paying 40.000 pesos for 2 nights (150kr/natt). but oh well at least we had somewhere to stay! and they even got us a bed later on =)
The hostel were really good though, "El YoYo". really a hostell to recomend! good atmosphere or whatever you say.. it feels like a big family, the only diffrent is that everyone party all the time.
anyhow.. we celebrated the new year up on the hills in valparaiso, watching the fireworks. then it was a BBQ at our hostel and we were just walking around in the town partying cause it was party party everywhere!

we were gonna go to la serena the 2nd but didnt find any tickets so we stayed in viña del mar one night. Johannas friends boyfriend has a cousin in viña who has a hostel so thats where we stayed. We had our own bathroom and cabel tv!!! vilken LYX! we visited some beaches. first the one in viña, crowded as hell! then reñaca, a couple of minutes away, very nice! we also watched the beautiful sunset!
our lst day in viña, we went to con con. they have a black beach there, it was really nice. I think we got off in like the local part, because then we walked around the corner and ther they were all the tourist. I know, we are tourist as well but we liked the local part better so we went back. but we were so hungry so we stopped half way for lunch, maybe not the smartest disision we made that day but at least the fish was good! expensive but good!

now we're in la serena, finally! we havent seen that much yet though. our night bus from viña arrived 6 this morning so then we just went to a hostel to get some sleep in a bed. now we just ate a BIG delicious sandwich and are on our way to see the town. they have like 14 beaches here but we burned ourself so bad in viña we decided to stay away from them, at least today.

weeeell i cant sit here all day! i have to do something i guess...

taka care!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!
